<p>Dr. Kuyumcu Dental Clinic was founded in 1983 in Alsancak, Izmir, by <strong>Dr. Akın Kuyumcu and Dentist Tülin Kuyumcu</strong>.</p>

<p>Since its founding, the clinic has provided care across many areas of dentistry, including oral health, oral and maxillofacial surgery, implant treatment, aesthetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, and prosthetic dentistry.</p>

<p>At the heart of Dr. Kuyumcu’s approach is a commitment to looking beyond an individual dental problem and considering each patient’s oral health, function, and long-term treatment needs as a whole.</p>

<p>Alongside decades of professional experience, keeping up with scientific advances and new treatment methods has remained one of the clinic’s principles since its founding.</p>

<h2>Our Founders</h2>

<h3>Dr. Akın Kuyumcu</h3>

<p>Dr. Akın Kuyumcu graduated from Ege University Faculty of Dentistry in 1975. In the same year, he began his academic work at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ege University.</p>

<p>In 1980, he completed his doctoral research, <strong>“A Comparison of Surgical and Conservative Treatments for Habitual Dislocation of the Temporomandibular Joint.”</strong> He continued his academic work at the university until 1983, then began practicing at his own clinic in Alsancak, Izmir.</p>

<p>In 1988, together with Dentist Tülin Kuyumcu, he received implantology training at the Gothenburg clinic of <strong>Prof. Per-Ingvar Brånemark</strong>, a pioneer of modern dental implantology. From that point on, implantology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and comprehensive dental care became an important part of his clinical work.</p>

<p>Dr. Akın Kuyumcu is a member of the Oral Implantology Association and a founding member of the Academy of Osseointegration Association. He has also followed the work of professional organizations involved in implantology and osseointegration internationally.</p>

<p>Beyond dentistry, art and ideas have an important place in Dr. Kuyumcu’s life. Classical music, piano, sailing, travel, and books are also part of the sense of aesthetics, balance, and human-centered perspective that inform his professional approach.</p>

<h3>Dentist Tülin Kuyumcu</h3>

<p>Dentist Tülin Kuyumcu graduated from Ege University Faculty of Dentistry in 1982 and began her professional career in Izmir.</p>

<p>Since 1983, she has continued her dental practice in Alsancak alongside Dr. Akın Kuyumcu.</p>

<p>Throughout her career, she has attended professional training programs, courses, seminars, and congresses in cities including Gothenburg, Sydney, London, Munich, Madrid, and Lisbon to keep up with current dental practices.</p>

<p>Since 1997, Tülin Kuyumcu has focused on <strong>aesthetic dentistry</strong>, with an approach that prioritizes preserving natural tooth structure and considering aesthetics and function together.</p>

<p>Alongside dentistry, she has been involved in painting for many years and actively participates in various social responsibility initiatives.</p>
